Adding your first aircraft

To add an aircraft, navigate to your aircraft list and choose to add an aircraft.

Finding your aircraft

Search the FAA registry by tail number, or add the aircraft manually if it is not in the registry.

Adding component details

After identifying the aircraft, review and complete the details for each of its components (e.g. airframe, engine, propeller, etc.).

Setting up timers

Set up timers to track component times as you record flights. Timers are optional but enable notifications when services and inspections are due. Without timers, component times reflect the values in your log entries.

Importing existing records

Import your existing paper logbook records by uploading photos or scans of your logbook pages, or by emailing them to MXL Bot.

Setting type certificates

Once you have started your subscription, you can select the appropriate type certificate for each component. MX Ledger’s services, including the AI Chat Assistant, rely on the type certificate to provide accurate information specific to your aircraft. It is your responsibility to verify that the type certificate you select applies to your specific component model.
