Setting up timers
To set up timers, navigate to the aircraft’s timers page. You will be guided through a multi-step process to configure the timing devices and record the current component times. The process can be cancelled at any step without creating any timer records.
You need Read and Write access to set up timers.
Reading date
Enter the date on which the timer readings and component times you are about to record were taken. The date defaults to today and cannot be in the future. When replacing existing timers, the date cannot be earlier than the most recent reading on the current timers.
Timing devices
Configure the timing devices you will use to track component time. A tachometer is pre-configured for each reciprocating engine and cannot be removed. You can add additional Hobbs meters with custom names if needed.
Enter the current reading for each device before continuing.
Airframe
Select which timing device will track airframe time, then enter the airframe’s current total time.
Engine and propeller times
For each engine, enter the current total time. If the engine has been overhauled, record the time since major overhaul.
For aircraft with propellers, enter the total time for each propeller. If the propeller has been overhauled, record the time since overhaul.
