Importing by email
To import a log entry by email, send the photo or scan as an attachment to MXL Bot using the import@mxlbot.com address. You must send the email from the email address you use for your MX Ledger account. You need Read and Write access to at least one aircraft for the import to be created.
Supported attachments
You can attach PDF, JPEG, or PNG files. If none of your attachments are a supported type, no import is created and you’ll receive an email explaining what file types are supported.
Choosing the aircraft
If your account has Read and Write access to only one aircraft, your files are imported to that aircraft automatically. If you have access to more than one aircraft, include the aircraft’s registration number (e.g. N-12345) in the subject line so MX Bot can identify the correct one. If MX Bot can’t determine which aircraft you mean, you’ll receive an email asking you to resend with the registration number included.
Confirmation
Once your import is queued, MX Bot sends a confirmation email with a link to the import job, where you can track its progress and review the results.
Sending from an unregistered address
Emails from an address that isn’t associated with an MX Ledger account are not processed, and no confirmation or error email is sent. Make sure you send from the email address associated with your account.
If your account exists but doesn’t have Read and Write access to any aircraft, you’ll receive an email explaining that no aircraft could be found to import into.
