Editing timers

To edit or replace timers, navigate to the aircraft’s timers page. You need Read and Write access to edit or replace timers.

Editing a timer

Editing a timer is intended to correct values that were entered incorrectly during setup. To edit a timer, select the timer to edit. A caution dialog will appear before proceeding, as in most cases it is better to replace the timers altogether.

Once confirmed, you can update the reading date, the timer reading, and the component times associated with the timer.

Hobbs timers cannot be edited after flights have been recorded against them. If a Hobbs timer is not editable, you will need to replace the timers instead.

Replacing timers

Replace the timers when you need to establish a new baseline going forward, for example when a timing device is physically replaced. The replace flow follows the same steps as the initial setup, with the reading date restricted to on or after the most recent reading on the current timers.
